Creating volume has never been easier.

Dry texturizing sprays – are they the same as dry shampoos? Well, both give you volume but the similarity ends just about there. Dry shampoos help to soak up any excess oil that our scalp produces. With a snap of a finger, the condition of your hair becomes as good as after a fresh wash. On the other hand, texturizing sprays are normally perfumed and help to create as the name suggests, texture for your mane. Due to the high alcohol content, texturizing sprays can help to soak up traces of oil but they are not necessarily the best and you might have to go in with your dry shampoo first.

Instead of focusing the product directly at your roots as you would with a dry shampoo, texturizing sprays can be used all over to create weightless texture. Start off by spraying a desired amount on your hair. Using your fingers, massage the product to distribute the product. By doing so, you are also introducing air which creates additional volume. Next using a paddle brush, comb through your hair to get rid of any knots and to tame it. Finish off with a setting spray and you are good to go.

Now head over to the gallery up top for a round up of great dry texturizing spray options to help your hair achieve its best wavy potential!
