The killer question: How do I remove my nail polish completely?

updated the 20 May 2014 à 17:28

Agathe Pons, the new Manicure expert and spokesperson at Essie Pro nail centre explains how to make your nail varnish vanish without a trace.

nail polish-removing

Some colours of nail varnish can be removed more easily than others. The most stubborn are the dark polishes, and those which based on red and its derivatives (plum, burgundy).

Step 1: cut a round cotton pad into pie-shaped sixths.

Step 2: soak the cotton in nail polish remover and leave them for a few moments on each nail.

Step 3: Press down the cotton and drag it to the end of the finger along the surface of the nail.

Agathe’s special trick: the cotton should remain parallel to the nail and should not touch the skin or cuticle so as not to spread the colour when removing it.

A big thank you to Agathe Pons for her valuable advice and availability.
