Beauty review: LANEIGE White Plus Renew Essence

Did you know that Asian skin contains a higher dose of melanin, which gives the skin its slightly yellow hue? With more collagen and melanin our skin tends to age better but at the same time, is prone to a higher amount of damage from scarring and hype-pigmentation. Therefore, many of us may notice that our complexion tend to appear dull and lifeless.

To try and battle this common concern, we tried Laneige, one of the leading Korean cosmetic brands which aims to solve skin problems that trouble Asian women in particular. In this case it has come up with the White Plus Renew Essence. Formulated with the brand’s exclusive Melacrusher technology to split and eliminate melanin from within the skin, this Laneige essence is targeted to help Asian women even out their skin tone while giving their complexion more radiance in just two weeks.

Our verdict? Firstly, we love how lightweight this essence feels and the fact it does not leave a greasy residue on the surface of the skin.  And indeed after a few uses, it left our skin feeling more refreshed and hydrated which in turn made our complexion glow. Also, for those who cannot stand heavily scented serums and essences, this product might be the perfect answer for you because it boosts a very faint fragrance that is almost unnoticeable. Laneige essence is also free from harmful ingredients such as parabens, animal products, artificial pigments and mineral oil making it suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Lightweight and effective, we definitely think it’s a keeper!
