Before, there was powder, now there is Les Beiges…

Chanel launches its new range – including a cream exclusive to Asia – and we test it for you!

Pages from LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW SHEER POWDER
“I wanted a refined, visible yet discreet result… I had to avoid the trap of excessive pearly effects and flamboyant tans to achieve this healthy glow.” says Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, of the newly-launched Les Beiges range.

Now the bar is raised! And what better proof than trying the product which launches in Singapore on the 14th of June.

Our verdict? We loved it simply because:

– It is never easy to find the right shade of foundation, not too tanned or not too iridescent. This powder (I personally use No.30) gives a natural look but also blends in just like a second skin.

– Chanel did not hesitate to break the tradition of the classic black box and instead went for an elegant shade of beige.

– For one of his last creations, Peter Philips – who will soon be leaving his position of Creative Director of Makeup at the prestigious house – had devised a rather clever powder. Its Open Air Care Complex technology is enriched with cotton flower plant cells and white rose which protects the skin from the effects of pollution and dehydration.

Apart from this powder, Chanel is also launching Les Beiges Beauty Glow Cream, a product specific to Asia 2013.

As Mademoiselle Chanel once said: “I seek refuge in beige because it’s natural.” Now that we have tried Les Beiges, we could not agree more!

P.S. Check out the video of the gorgeous Gisele Bundchen, who is the face for Les Beiges.

Chanel Les Beiges, Healthy Glow Sheer Powder SPF15 (USD63.7), and Beauty Glow Cream (USD65.3).
