While runway makeup tends to be difficult to attain, the French house’s subtle yet dramatic looks are versatile enough to be worn on a daily basis. We show you how.

The Chanel pret-a-porter collection during Paris Fashion Week this season was beautiful, but the made-up faces of the models helped put the entire look together. The models were each given a ‘boy’ or ‘girl’ look, both of which were wonderfully wearable off the runway too.

Naturally, we loved the ‘girl’ with the heavy cat eyes and dark smokey brown eyeshadow sweeping across the lids. We recommend placing a piece of tape on the outer corners of your eyes to help create that effortless and sleek cat eye. The dewy clean skin was well prepped with hydrating products before layered on with a light liquid foundation, concealer and highlighter.

The ‘girl’ looks also had rosy blush buffed into their cheek bones for a cherubic effect. The hairstyle was kept in a classic French twist with Chanel logo accessories.

‘Boys’ on the other hand, had smooth slicked-back hair with a severe side part. Heavy midnight blue eyeshadow was diffused across the lids up to the brow bones and their cheeks and lip were free of colour.

Both models had brows filled with a dark brown eye brow pencil and a light coat of black mascara.

You may not have an army of makeup artists at your command, but these wearable looks can be easily recreated with the right products.
