Bold eyeliner and nude matte lips… here’s how to recreate Katy Perry’s Egyptian-inspired makeup look.
When it comes to a night out – we always seem to stray back to our all-time favourite bold cat eye paired with a nude matte lip. Start off the look with a soft base, nothing to heavy, remember, the focus is all on the eyes – a BB cream will do just the trick. Dust your cheeks with a peachy nude blush and you are ready to start the eyes. Sweep the eyelid with a creamy dark brown base, then start on your eyeliner.
If you’re not used to doing winged eyeliner, don’t worry – practice makes perfect. We suggest looking down into a mirror, this allows for you to get both wings as even as possible…don’t panic if they are not identical, ours never are either! Finish off the eye look with a pair of dramatic false lashes, apply them with a pair of tweezers if you do not have a steady hand.
Make sure your lips are well moisturised before applying any matte lipstick – we suggest exfoliating if you tend to have flakey areas. Line the lips with a nude liner, if you want to make your lips look bigger, now is the time… simply draw the line a little outside of your natural lip shape. All that is left is your favourite nude matte lipstick and you’ll be ready to hit the dance floor!
