The next time you’re going for a sultry look, simply follow the Hollywood star’s impeccable red splash.
As The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 continues to rack up ticket sales, let’s take a moment to look back at just some of the stunning looks that graced the red carpet premieres. One in particular that caught our attention was Elizabeth Banks’ sultry eyes.
The 41 year-old actress got heads turning when she stepped out in a glitzy floor-length dress. However, our attention was not only fixated on the cosmic-inspired outfit but her gorgeous hair and makeup as well. Most of it was kept relatively simple but what drew us to this look was the splash of red on Banks’ eyes.
To re-create the look for yourselves, start with a lightweight foundation that would still allow the skin to breathe. Then skip the powder and go straight to sweeping on light red eyeshadow on your lids before lining it with black eyeliner. You may even tight line your eyes to further create some depth. After which, really open up your eyes by grabbing a voluminising mascara and give your lashes two good coats for extra fluttery peepers.
Finally, complete it with a gentle dusting of a peachy blusher followed by a light pink lipstick for an effortlessly impeccable outcome.
Who’s to say that you can’t be just like Banks in the makeup department?
