FOTD: The modern pin-up girl look!

We give you tips on how to recreate Kate Spade's Fall/Winter 2013 runway makeup look.
If there is one makeup look we just can't get enough of, it is the timeless pin-up girl eyeliner, bold lips and matte skin. But sometimes, reinventing the look can appear a little out-dated, which is why we love Kate Spade's twist on this classic.
Draw attention to your eyes and lips by keeping the skin simple, all you will need is a light dusting of a matte powder foundation.
Sculpt the face by filling in your eyebrows, opt for a colour that is one shade darker than your own to really channel your inner pin-up girl. For the eyes, sweep a layer of a light gold shadow across the entire lid, then go in with your eyeliner. Choose a gel eyeliner for a matte effect, then draw a thick line along your lashes and wing it out at the end of your eye. To achieve a precise line, use the end of your eyebrow as your target and don't worry if they aren't exactly identical, no one will notice! To complement the intense eyeliner, apply your favourite pair of dramatic false lashes and you'll be simply irresistible.
To complete the glamorous look, apply a deep magenta, glossy lipstick to your lips. If you find that your lipstick tends to bleed, apply a lip liner before hand.
