To celebrate its 20th anniversary, NARS will launch a collection of 20 shades of lipsticks to pay homage to its founder François Nars’ first-ever collection of 12 lipsticks.

Lipstick fans rejoice!

Leading cosmetic brand NARS is launching a tribute collection entitled Audacious Lipstick for its 20th Anniversary, which is set to hit the stores this fall.

The collection consists of 40 delicious shades which bear the names of women who have influenced the brand’s founder François Nars throughout his career.

For the past 20 years, NARS has created a collection of lipsticks in a signature innovative formula, with saturated pigments, for a total instantaneous coverage. And the latest collection is no different.

The formula combines extracts of natural peptides, portucala, and Tamanu oil for a very smooth soft matte finish and perfectly hydrated lips – in addition to lipid microspheres to achieve fuller and more attractive lips.

Bold to the end…

Encased in a metal, black and matte box, the packaging  is both modern and elegant thanks to its magnetic closure. Its carved Nars logo represents a new era of purity of colour and texture.

As for the shades, NARS has covered the whole spectrum from deep plums to bold orange, effortless nudes, feminine pinks and of course classic red.

Why did you choose to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand with a new lipstick  range?

“I love lipstick. This is the only item of makeup, the only accessory that women everywhere must always have. I started with 12 shades of NARS lipsticks and after putting many other products on the market, I am still very proud of those. It seemed appropriate to celebrate our 20th anniversary with a new collection of lipsticks.” – François Nars

The Audacious Lipstick collection will be available at NARS counters in September.
