And that’s why the American cosmetic brand is bringing us a collection that is reminiscent of Old Hollywood Stars and has brought on board no other than Hollywood Actress Katie Holmes to show us how to wear it!

The colour palette offers the option of creating both a very natural look, by selecting amongst the wide range of matte brown shades, as well as a striking Gatsby-esque nostalgic look, by picking just the right cosmetic amongst the ones available in gold and metallic brown. In addition to creating these looks, the collection is well suited to plan the make up for the holiday season as it provides Christmassy deep reds, metallic browns and gold.

How to recreate your own Katie Holmes look:

The Contour:

– Use your favourite natural-looking foundation and powder combo to set the base for your make up.

– Blush your cheekbones pink with upwards and outwards motions, using Bobbi Brown Blush Nectar No. 11. (This blush is not part of the collection)

The Eyes:

– From the Old Hollywood Eye Palette (approx. USD80), select 2 matte brown or beige tones that are close to your skin tone. Apply the lighter shade on the outermost part of the eyelid and keep the darker shade for the area closer to the eyelashes.

– Use the metallic brown that is closest to the 2 previously selected browns, to add shimmer to any dull areas surrounding the eyes.

– Use the felt tip “Blackest Black” Old Hollywood Ink Liner (approx. USD32) to contour the eyes. Carefully consider whether to contour the entirety of the eye or simply the top half as the colour of this liner is quite intense and you will achieve a silver screen effect with a single application.

The all important final touches:

– Add a striking touch of colour to your lips with Old Hollywood Lip Colour (approx. USD40) in “Old Hollywood Shade”. This can be either applied with a lip brush or straight from the tube.

– At last, paint your nails with the Old Hollywood Nail Polish (approx. USD24) in “Tuxedo Black”.

Et voilà! You have your own Katie Holmes look!
