Anti-cellulite: Shiseido Advanced Body Creator

When it comes to getting rid of cellulite, a vast range of products is available on the market. While most products offer fairly similar results, the main difference would be the price tag.

So above and beyond results, what would be the determining factor which makes us select and stick to one anti-cellulite cream over another? We’d say on the top of our list is that great feeling on our skin during and after application, and how suitable it is for our hectic life.

The anti-cellulite product we tested is Advanced Body Creator by Shiseido.

This aromatic sculpting gel is super light, non-greasy and should be applied once or twice daily for noticeable results. As it glides easily on the skin, a nutshell size of this gel will suffice to thinly cover the length of one leg.

Like other anti-cellulite products, Advanced Body Creator should be massaged from the ankles upwards towards the waist and can be applied to all problem areas; including upper arms, thighs, hips, waist, tummy and buttocks. Application to the face should be avoided, as well as application to the chest – just in case you were tempted.

Shiseido calls it an invigorating anti-cellulite gel with “aromachological powers” that inspire feelings of optimism.

Regardless of this bold claim, we can definitely say that Advanced Body Creator has a pleasant fresh fragrance with notes of grapefruit and spices and that it leaves the skin with a slight tingling sensation. The immediate result is a feeling of coolness and tightness, which remains noticeable for half an hour after application. The legs seem to have less water retention possibly as a consequence of the cool feeling left behind.

We tested this product for over one month; the result for prolonged use is a smooth, softer and taut skin that feels more even to the touch.

Why we love it:

– It leaves the skin feeling cool and fresh, which is ideal for using post-exercise to tone and to astringe  problem areas

– The gel form is quick to be absorbed thus allowing shorter waiting times before getting dressed

– After a few applications, the surface of the skin feels even and smooth
