Soft, romantic and feminine – Burberry’s SS14 makeup collection embodies the English Rose persona in the most delicate way possible. Here’s how to get the look.

From the bronze goddess fad, to the hyper-matte phase, we have seen so many makeup trends come and go in the year 2013. However, for 2014, it’s all about going back to basics.

White hot on Burberry’s SS14 runway was the ethereal and dusty combination of light textures and petal details. From this, Burberry has created their English Rose Makeup collection, consisting of luminescent shades of pink and sage green.

Inspired by their super-light knit and sparkling gemstones from the S/S 2014 show, the 2 main looks from the latest makeup collection emphasizes four areas; the skin, eyes, lips and nails.

Creating the looks:

For their Rose Pink Look, Use sheer concealer to highlight the nose, forehead, Cupid ’s bow and chin for a subtle, sun-kissed feel. Bring the eyes to life by creating soft petal life effects around the eyes with Burberry’s Sheer Eyeshadow in a tea rose hue. For a more defined look, apply their eye definer to the top and bottom lashes to draw greater attention to the eyes. Top the look off with Burberry’s lip mist for a more natural finish and add an extra oomph  by coating your nails with their nail polish in dusty mauve. Think light, romantic and feminine vibes when channelling your inner English countryside rose in this look.

As for their Sage Green look, mix Burberry’s glow fluid to create an effervescent appeal. Contour the cheekbones with their light earthy blush, bringing in hues of soft barnyard brown. Apply their green eye colour shade , blending outwards to create seamless gradation of colour. Finally, press in some lip definer in rosewood shade to bring the entire look together.

The Burberry English Rose Makeup Collection is available from Burberry.com, selected burberry stores starting January 2014.
