For him & her: Crabtree & Evelyn launched new additions to its Heritage Fragrances
Forget about updating your wardrobe, scent your way into spring with the British beauty brand’s latest selection of fragrances.
We’re always excited when our favourite British botanical brand comes up with a new fragrance, and this time our excitement is twofold because Crabtree & Evelyn created not one, but two new scents to add to their Heritage Collection. Infused with forty years of expertise in fragrance foraging, the perfumes express the classic aromas of the Mediterranean as exquisite flower waters and eau de colognes.
The debuting fragrances, Black Absinthe Eau de Colgone (for men) and Parisian Millefleurs Flower Water (for women) follow the success of the original seven limited edition scents launched in 2013. They take inspiration from 18th century Paris, combining traditional botanicals with a contemporary twist by adding notes of absinthe, rose, narcissus, lavender and cypruss.
If floral scents are up your alley, then the Parisian Millefleurs Flower Water is a safe bet. This second edition pays homage to the original Crabtree & Evelyn Millefleurs fragrance inspired by the opulent floral style of scents prevalent in 18th century France. In this intricate scent, seemingly composed from a thousand flowers, narcissus, rose, tuberose and violet notes are balanced by sparkling green and woody accords.
For the boys, there’s The Black Absinthe Eau de Cologne, which underscores the lively herbaceous notes of absinthe, artemisia and fennel flower, blended with smooth tones of liquorice and pepperry vetiver while a creamy tonka base note adds a deep sensual tone.
We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty excited at the chance to smell like the botanical gardens of Paris! Oui!
The Heritage Collection also includes Flower Waters – Florentine Freesia, Venetian Violet and Old World Jasmine. Eau de Colognes include Hungary Water, Neapolitan Bergamot, Sevillian Nerolli and Old Windsor which can be purchased at any Crabtree & Evelyn stores at a retail price of SGD88.
