Skip the full-on makeup routine and instead grab Korean beauty brand, Clio’s latest range of mascara and eyeliners to create the ideal everyday eye look.

If you don’t subscribe to the idea of wearing a full face of makeup everyday then you’re our kind of woman. Essentially, what you really need for a quick everyday look is just a stroke of eyeliner and a quick coat of mascara to have all eyes on you (or on your eyes at least).

And for that, we’ve recently added Korean beauty brand, Clio’s latest range of mascara and eyeliners – namely the Salon de Cara and Kill Black range – to our arsenal. With this combo, you can effectively ditch eyeshadow and still be turning heads on the streets.

Creating a basic eye look:

1. After you’re done with a lightweight BB cream or cushion foundation, go straight for the kill with Clio’s Kill Black liners in brown or black. Our preference is always black but if you’re looking for a slightly muted look then brown would be perfect. The liners glide on fairly smoothly leaving behind an intense, bold stroke of colour. Additionally, you have full control of the line’s thickness thanks to the flexibility of the brush tip.

With the waterproof formula, you can create a stunning Bridget Bardot-esque cat eye or a simple thin line and know that it’ll stay put without smudging under Singapore’s heat.

2. Now to go in with a coat or two of mascara. We suggest experimenting with Salon de Cara’s range of mascaras with wands that are inspired by hair styling tools because who’s to say only your tresses can look good. The waterproof and voluminising mascaras come in three variants – Hair Roll Cara that mimics hair rollers for added volume, Roll Brush Cara to simulate a hairbrush for a curling effect and Finger Cara, which has three-way parting bristles that replicates the action of a hairstylist’s hands.

If you’re unsure which to choose, here’s a quick guide: for long and thin lashes go with Hair Roll Cara, for stick-straight lashes, go with Roll Brush Cara and lastly for sparse and short lashes go with Finger Cara. So depending on your needs, pick a mascara and sweep on two coats for all-day fluttery lashes.

The next time you’re too busy to fumble with a bunch of makeup products, just reach out to your Kill Black liner and Salon de Cara mascara and you’ll be out the door in minutes.
