Dior Beauty Fall 2015: Peter Philips unveils first campaign video

Featuring high impact chromatic shades and illuminating hints, take a peek at what makeup maestro, Peter Philips envisions for the Dior woman.

After an impeccably glorious time at Chanel, Peter Philips is now at Dior working sheer beauty magic with those artistic fingers of his. While he was announced as the new creative and image director for Dior Beauty back in 2014, it is only now that we get to see his brilliant creations realised in his debut makeup collection, Cosmopolite. 

The 22-piece range, is inspired by the multifaceted woman who changes according to the times but her vein of femininity retains. All of which also echoes the very idea of what Raf Simons envisions for the French luxury house – that the Dior woman is feminine in whichever angle you look at her.

Now knowing that the fluid nature can’t exactly be reflected in a static image, the campaign video swings right into action. Featuring a model under different forms of light manipulation – think ‘scanning light’ and ‘moving mirror light’ – the film developed together with director, Pierre Debusschere, brings to focus the subtle scintillating properties of the metallic and jewel-toned makeup from every view.

The Cosmopolite collection essentially comprises of two eyeshadow palettes, six single eyeshadow colours, three blushers, six lip shades, four nail varnishes and an illuminating face powder. Slated to launch this August, we bet the limited edition series is bound to sell out, so be sure you find the light and make your way to the Dior counters stat!
