Christmas Recipe: Grilled Lobster
updated the 14 July 2015 à 18:32Indulge in a traditional Christmas cognac and buttered-up lobster – a fancy restaurant-style dish – in just a few steps.
Servings : 6 persons
Preparation time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes
Ingredients
3 lobsters
100 g soft butter
3 tablespoons of cognac
Salt and pepper
Directions
- Immerse the live lobsters in slightly salted boiling water and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and cool down. Cut the lobster down the middle. Remove the black vein that runs down the tail, the green tomalley and the sand sac, which is located in the head area, behind the eyes.
- Whisk the soft butter with the cognac. Add salt and pepper. Preheat the oven on broiler.
- Brush generously with the butter mixture and place the lobsters on the oven rack. Cook for 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
Our tip
You can put the lobsters in the freezer to anesthetize them before plunging into boiling water.
