Hollywood actress and UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie gets an honorary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II recognising her humanitarian work.

After initiating and co-chairing the global End Sexual Violence in Conflict summit in London last week, Angelina Jolie is made an honorary Dame by the British Royal Family on Friday, June 13.

The actress who is also a UN Special Envoy, regularly seen visiting refugees in conflict areas, has been knighted as part of Queen Elizabeth II Annual Birthday Honours list which also included actor Daniel Day-Lewis among others.
