#MakeUpTransformation: Parody beauty tutorials

Many men are putting makeup on Instagram. Their purpose? Gently mocking the ladies and their not-so-natural everyday transformations. We pick our favourites.
Like a tidal wave, the selfie has spread on the Internet thanks to Instagram. This social network is also the mecca of all beauty addicts who are hungry for compliments and comments. With the help of its filters (for embellishing and airbrushing), some proudly display their beauty tutorials detailing the steps through photo collages.
It is precisely this trend that many men were happy to parody. The idea for the #MakeUpTransformation hashtag has taken off on the social platform, echoing classic collages made up of four small pictures and mimicking certain gestures (putting on foundation, styling the hair, and of course pouting throughout). And then the magic of Instagram operates: the “boy next door” becomes Usher or Enrique Iglesias!
Not offence taken from us personally, we applaud the originality of some of the changes and the fact that they made us giggle.
