She slowly started experimenting with bolder makeup looks that made her stand out from the beauty crowd. Gradually, she became more and more creative with her video style and dabbling in topics other than beauty. Today, she sparks off as one of the most artistic and inspirational YouTubers in the beauty scene with her sometimes whimsical, sometimes bold video style that is always a delight to watch at any time of the day.

Jen is your go-to beauty YouTuber if you need tips on Asian eye makeup. She recognises that the Asian eye is not always easy to style, and creates tutorials that teach us just how to master different looks for different occasions. She is one of the most experienced Asian YouTubers in the beauty department, and we love the consistency of her video style. In addition, her bubbly personality will definitely shine through and brighten your day.

Zoella strikes us as a little girl trapped in a young adult's body - she is that cute. Of course, we don't mean it in a bad way. If you follow her YouTube journey, you'll realise that she's been through her fair share of ups and downs, and has tonnes of wise words to share with her viewers. Her videos mostly feel like a casual conversation between her and her viewer, except that she is obviously the one doing all the talking. What attracts her follower base are probably her radiant personality, occasional wit and humour and the genuine way she interacts with the YouTube community.

Clothesencounters started out as a YouTube channel co-founded by Jenn and Sarah, two friends with a passion for all things fashion. Sadly, Sarah had to leave vlogging to pursue other interests, but Jenn stayed on for their fans until today. Follow her for weekly updates on her beauty routines, fashion style tips and travel sights in her indie-style vlogs that are extremely relaxing to watch. She is one of the most fashionable YouTubers we would definitely recommend, especially if you love casual getups and tropical weather friendly outfits.

Claire Marshall comes across as a super cool and edgy rock chick who does whatever she pleases just because she can. And we love that about her. She posts videos of all sorts, from everyday vlogs to beauty reviews and even to talking about her deepest emotions. She might look fierce with her nose studs and many tattoos, but she isn't afraid to show how much she loves her viewers too.

Chriselle Lim may not be a new Korean-American face on the YouTube beauty scene, but she's definitely won our hearts over with how open she is about her life with her viewers, which helps people feel connected to her virtually and emotionally, as if she is a friend to us all. We love her minimalist yet fashionable style, and how easy it is to watch her video after video without noticing that the hour has gone by.

Kandee Johnson is extremely talented in the beauty scene, particularly when it comes to recreating celebrity looks or the appearances of famous fictional characters. The vibrant colours that she wears coupled with her exceptionally lively personality make her videos really fun to watch when you just need a pick-me-up and something happy to look at. She is so adorable, you wouldn't even realise that she's a mom, let alone a mom of 3!

We definitely needed to include someone to inspire us for Halloween. Emma Pickles specialises in creating tutorials for the weirdest, wackiest and also most amazing character makeup that you will ever see. Her usual beauty and fashion style is perhaps a little gothic, but nothing too outrageous or terrifying that can't be worn out on a typical day. She actually seems like a really sweet girl with a huge talent for makeup art, and especially for characters which tend a little bit more to the villainous side of the spectrum. Her cheerful voiceovers that usually accompany these villain makeup tutorials surely make them a lot more fun to watch. Other than that, her bold makeup styles are also interesting to look out for.

If you've got a hair problem, Luxy Hair is here to help solve it for you. This channel talks about all things hair, and provides a huge list of tutorials that teach you how to style your hair on different occasions and according to the look you would want to go for. Whatever you need information for, whether it be curling, braiding or tying your hair up in a messy bun, just look for Luxy Hair to cater to all your hair needs.

Of course, we certainly weren't going to miss out on our favourite Korean MUA. Pony has earned a name for her gorgeous makeup looks and super effective makeup line. She recently started up a YouTube channel to share with fans her amazing makeup skills, from natural basic beauty routines to intricate celebrity (i.e. Taylor Swift) transformations. Watching her layer on her makeup is not only informative, but also almost therapeutic, so much so that you won't grow tired of watching her videos.
