From Frozen to Lana Del Ray and Solange, here’s a selection of our favourite tunes that we currently have on repeat.

Music never fails to lift our spirits and get us in the appropriate mood for work, dance, the gym or even just for a chill night. From soulful ballads to upbeat dance music, we’ve highlighted our favourite songs at the moment – since it’s way harder to decide on a favourite of all time. Who knows you might be adding one of these songs to your playlists as well, if you haven’t already that is.

And if we could, we’d be blasting our music through the speakers in the office and everyday would be a party!

Let It Go from Frozen

“Shamelessly I am going to admit that just like my nieces – and strangely enough – nephews and perhaps every other child I know, I am a Disney’s Frozen fan! More specifically, a fan of the theme song ‘Let It Go’ which I find very liberating and it even gives me goosebumps.

Laugh all you want but I find it an empowering song about accepting yourself, taking responsibility and basically making lemonade when all life has given you is lemons – or in Elsa’s case – building an ice castle when everything you touch freezes.

But my main reason for liking it at the moment is the fact it applies to my daily routine. Something is bothering you? Let it go… Story is edited? Let it go… yes, you can imaging the fun we have here at the office!
After all, there is a child inside everyone of us, so it’s good to celebrate it sometimes especially as we are close to the holiday season. Well, I am the kids’ favourite aunt for a reason! So just smile and let it go…

Let Her Go by Passenger

“The warm, heartwarming ballad really tugs at my heart strings. From the beautiful, meaningful lyrics to the rhythm of the song, everything a chord with me. Sure, it may be a little depressing to listen to but it perfectly encapsulates how we tend to take things for granted, only to realise its worth after it’s gone.

On a side note, I was also very much into Chanel’s Grease rendition for their No. 5 campaign – couldn’t stop listening to the singer’s soulful voice.”

Ride by Lana Del Ray

“I have to be in the mood to listen to loud, upbeat songs – most of the time you’ll catch me playing indie, R&B tunes. So although it isn’t new, Lana Del Ray’s ‘Ride’ is my go-to track to listen to at the moment. Soft, calming and ultra-catchy, this tune is perfect for when I need to get myself in the zone – whether it be before work or before bed time.”

House Party by Sam Hunt

“I’m not usually one for country songs but this song has made it to the top of my most played list. The guitar riffs are just so infectious that it makes me feel like dancing and belting out the song in Sam Hunt’s country accent whenever it comes on. Throwing a house party might actually be a good excuse to put this song on loop the entire night. Definitely one of my top picks for happy songs.”

Wait and See by Monogem

“Most favourite song at the moment will be ‘Wait and See’ by Monogem. It’s such a dreamy track that I love listening to while relaxing at home, especially on a rainy day.”

Losing You by Solange Knowles

“I am totally a fan of Beyonce’s little sister, Solange. She has mastered the true recipe for the perfect song – a pop musical base, spiced by her warm voice and a pinch of electro. This song is just perfect for any time: when you’re happy or sad, when you’re cooking, dancing or just to chill to. While it has been available for two years now, I never get bored by it.”
