Everything appears normal, until the couple gets trapped in a downward spiral. His lack of ambition and her retreat into self-absorbtion cause potentially irreversible cracks in their marriage. Did we mention how passionate Ryan Gosling was?

The Theory of Everything
Not your typical romantic story, but this is something raw and honest. In the 1960s, Cambridge University student and future physicist Stephen Hawking falls in love with fellow collegian Jane Wilde. After Hawking learns that he has motor neuron disease, he begins an ambitious study of time, of which he found out that he has very little left. The couple defies terrible odds and break new ground in the fields of medicine and science, achieving more than either would dare to imagine.

You may not have booked that luxurious dinner date yet, and you are panicking. Well, Valentine’s Day is probably an over-rated and over-celebrated day that doesn’t deserve as much attention, but nonetheless, it is alright to celebrate it at home – with a remote in one hand and your favourite person in another.

There are so many sappy movies out there and it’s hard to decide what to watch. We understand your first world problems and this is a great way to cuddle up and spend some (quiet) quality time together, away from the crowd and heart-shaped bursting balloons.
