Your green light to imbibe for a good cause begins next Monday, June 1, with Campari bringing Negroni Week to our shores for the first time ever.

Bottoms up! For the first time ever, bars in Singapore will be participating in #NegroniWeek, a global initiative which sees participating bars and restaurants donating part of the proceeds from the sale of Negroni cocktails to a charity of their choice.

Taking place from 1- 7 June, Negroni Week will be launched by Italian liqueur label Campari, in conjunction with Imbibe magazine. The event was first launched in 2013 by Imbibe and taps into the rise in popularity and demand of the classic Negroni, the most simple of cocktails made from an iconic mix of gin, Campari and sweet red vermouth, said to be created by accident in 1920 by Count Camillo Negroni. A Negroni is not what it is without Campari, hence the apt collaboration.

Local bars that have confirmed their participation in  #NegroniWeek include Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall, Bitters & Love, KU DÉ TA, Manhattan, Tess Bar & Kitchen and The Secret Mermaid.

So Singaporeans, your green light to imbibe for a good cause is here- make it count! Navigate the gallery to find out which bars are participating and the charities they’re supporting.
