For the whole month of October, you can shop at TANGS and feel a whole lot better about spending that money.

TANGS, one of Singapore’s biggest department stores that occupy their place on the famous shopping belt of Orchard Road in Singapore’s city centre, proves again that it is more than just a department store. They are bringing back the Shop for Good shopping movement and are offering more options for shoppers to make a difference with them.

The Shop For Good campaign runs from 1 October to 1 November 2015, where brand partners will contribute part of the proceeds from the sale of designated products to selected charities. For every sale made during the period, TANGS will donate SGD0.50 to Singapore Children’s Society to fund social projects that protect and nurture children and youth of all races and religions, until they reach their goal of SGD100,000.

Shop for Good events

There are many exciting events happening, including an afternoon of good shopping and fun with the Shop For Good 2015 ambassadors Andrea Chong, Derek Ong, Charmaine Seah-Ong, Eugene Lim and Joseph Lor as they share the good about responsible shopping. Veteran actor Edmund Chen will also make a special appearance to share his collaboration with Samsonite.

Flower lovers can sign up for a flower arrangement workshop by local florist, One Olive. All proceeds from the workshop will be contributed to Breast Cancer Foundation, aiding patients affected by breast cancer. With this month being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this donation will serve the community well. Several beauty brands such as Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier and SK-ll will also be having special promotions and activities during the event. They will also be holding their first auction featuring one-of-a-kind or special items in aid of various causes, where every bid will make a difference.

And for the first time ever, TANGS members will get to choose their own 12% rebate day in the month of October. Shoppers will be able to enjoy great deals while doing good. So, do pay a visit to TANGS this month and spend that cash, and rest in the knowledge that the money you spend will make a change in the lives of people.
