Get a look into Singapore’s diverse and vibrant literary scene this 2017!

Heads up literary buffs: The Singapore Writer’s Festival (SWF) is back for its 33th consecutive year running. Jointly organised by the National Arts Council, the SWF proudly presents the world’s leading literary faces to Singapore this 2017.

Reputed as one of the few multi-lingual literary festivals that focuses on Singapore’s four official languages, the SWF has invariably become a platform for writers, thinkers and academics to share and impart their invaluable knowledge and literary insight to Singaporeans.

SWF 2017 THEME: ‘ARAM’

Themed ‘Aram’, a Tamil word that means ‘Good’ or ‘Virtuous’,  SWF 2017 will be zeroing in on the universal ethical concept that bring us together. Through a series of panel discussions, lectures and workshops, SWF hopes to impart a love and appreciation for the spoken word.

With over 30 speakers hailing from all over the world, right from Ireland to Latvia, you can expect an insightful and diverse exposure to literature through their brilliantly curated lineup this year.

Head over to the gallery above for just a few of the exciting events lined up at the Singapore Writer’s Festival 2017!
