From a wide range of whisky brands to rums and exciting new launches, there’s a whole lot to look forward to at this edition’s Whisky Live.

If you were planning a weekend without alcohol, you might want to rethink that, knowing that Whisky Live is rolling into town with all the goodness that whisky brings. Now even if you’re not entirely a fan of whisky, trust us when we say that a day at this showcase would do enough to sway your opinions – especially if you were to immerse yourself in the masterclasses or speak to the brilliantly experienced bartenders.

Set to occur over two days at the luxurious Capella Singapore in Sentosa, this year’s Whisky Live will be the largest to date with close to 500 expressions and over 70 whisky and spirit brands. The pop up bar will also host an enviable line up of 28 HongKong Street, L’Aiglon, Tippling Club, Sugarhall, The Library, Anti:dote, Spiffy Dapper, FOC and Longplay. Alongside drinks, you can also sample smoky creations from Burnt Ends and Meat Smith, refined tapas from FOC, Mexican delights from El Mero Mero, and fine dining from The Study to keep yourselves sufficiently satiated.

Besides whisky, you will also get to see lots of rum at this year’s edition. Rum legend, Mr. Luca Gargano will be hosting a masterclass and introducing Velier’s range of premium rums such as Caroni, Clairin, Diamond, Enmore, Uitvlugt and more.

“Singapore and the region are seeing an increase in demand for rum, all thanks to the growing cocktail culture. In a mature market like Singapore, demand for fine rum, which is considered as an affordable luxury item, has been on the rise too with double digit growth,” shares Mr Musnier.

Finally, the event will also see the introduction of the newest Irish whiskey, Teeling. It’s the first time a distillery has opened in Dublin in over 125 years. So from a wide range of whisky to sample, delectable bites, rum galore as well as exciting new launches, there’s a whole lot to look forward to this upcoming weekend at Whisky Live. And trust us, with the location, you probably wouldn’t want to leave even when you’re done tasting.

Whisky Live Singapore 2015 will be held from 28 – 29 November at Capella Singapore, 1 The Knolls, Sentosa. For more information and to buy tickets, go to www.whiskylive.sg.
