Where: Infinite Studios, 21 Media Circle

Why: Come on in to Singapore’s first and only music festival freakshow getting your spirits pumping every Halloween.
Across two thrilling days, Freq'show on Day 1 and Asia’s premier launch of the audiovisual spectacular, Mekanika by Godskitchen on Day 2 will make it an apocalypse to remember.

Launch of KISS KISS BANG BANG
What: The official launch of KISS KISS BANG BANG

When: 30th October, 10pm onwards

Where: Bang Bang, Pan Pacific Singapore (039595)

Why: Kick-start Halloween weekend properly with a night of the dirtiest and most depraved house music.

For the second time after a stellar set at the last Love You So party is Jashika, playing one of her trademark deep and dirty house sets.

The second DJ is also no stranger to the hot and heavy deep house sound. Victoria plays from 1am. I think you know what to expect.

Where: Life is Beautiful Kitchen & Bar, 99 Duxton Road

Why: Start your Sunday with a lovely brunch, then a drink or two at the bar for that joyful bit of buzz. Soak in the music, the arts at hand and have a dance with the setting sun. No stress, no rush, just take it nice and easy.

A Certain Sort of Hunger
What: A Certain Sort of Hunger

When: 23rd Oct, 7:30pm

Where: Singapore Art Museum, 71 Bras Basah Road

Why: For many in Singapore, assumptions of life beyond the grave are part-and-parcel of the everyday. And similar to many cultures throughout Asia, female spirits in particular, play an interesting role in how the supernatural is imagined and constructed.

Whether she be the pontianak who waits for a victim by the side of the road, or the mother or lover who returns for revenge, the female spirit is often characterised as treading the line between agency and oppression: On one hand, she is an autonomous character who seeks justice on her own terms; on another, agency is only granted in death and in the transformation of her into a villain.

What do these imaginings suggest? What happens when we re-imagine these “villainous” women through poetry? What is it about women, that makes us so frightening and why always, this hunger to return?

Developed and presented by Etiquette SG, A Certain Sort of Hunger comprises readings and performances that aim to horrify, humour, as well as answer a few of these questions.

Why: Wringing Bros. and the Postmortem Troupe is proud to present 'Expired Expectations' - a one-night only event in celebration of Halloween. More than just a decorated venue, the Wringing Brothers have prepared a true spectacle for all souls who enjoy dark revelries. Theatrical performances, twisted games, unique tastes, lost souls, and even a touch of the occult await all who enter The Sultan's lair. Summoned from the underworld once a year to perform, the wringing brothers haven't had an event without casualties yet.

Why: Kilowatt Soundsystem, one of Singapore's most diverse DJ crews, takes over the two floors of GEM Bar with 8 DJs, 1 MC, and 1 percussionist!

The Kilowatt boys are joined by guest DJs Bhayology (USA), Kusto (France), Me. layan (Austria), and Rohdd (France) to cover everything from funk, soul, reggae, and Latin music to hip-hop, afrobeat, Balkan music, and drum n’ bass.

Veteran MC King Lhota (Senegal) will deliver his unique blend of mbalax, French rap, and Jamaican dancehall, while The Solace (Paraguay) will share his mufti-faceted percussive talents.
