Come be a part of the joyful atmosphere at Clark Quay Central as we celebrate happiness, SG50 and anything that puts a smile on our faces.

Calling all selfie addicts! Come flash us your best grin this Wednesday 29 April till 3 May at Clarke Quay Central for a chance to have your picture taken by roving photographers for the Smile Singapore campaign. Conceptualized from a Gallup Poll in 2012 when Singapore was rated as the most emotionless and unhappy nation in the world, the project by Clarke Quay Central, in partnership with Fuji Xerox Singapore intends to prove that Singaporeans are happy and do feel emotions. 1,909 smiling portraits were collected and laid out in Clarke Quay Central, breaking the Singapore’s Book of Records for the ‘Largest display of photos’.

Better yet, Fuji Xerox Singapore has pledged to donate $5 for every picture collected till 3 May to Singapore-based children’s charity Beyond Social Services –  to enable and empower children and youth from less privileged families and help them achieve better opportunities in life.

This year’s Smile Singapore campaign coincides with Singapore’s 50th birthday celebrations, so naturally, a little twist is involved. Instead of just smiling for the cameras, the public are welcome to share their happiest moments of living in the Little Red Dot we call home as well as discover the top 3 reasons Singapore makes her people happy.

A smile is the only curve that sets everything straight. So come one, come all and let’s be a part of the happiest event in Singapore!

Smile Singapore takes place on Wednesday, 29 April till 3 May from 5-6pm at Clarke Quay Central. The public is also welcome to share their smile portraits on Smile Singapore’s website. The completed photo exhibit can be viewed from 4 May onward. Everyone is welcome!
