Where: Lit Up Singapore, 28 Aliwal St
Why: Lit Up - the multidisciplinary arts festival - is back for another round of ground-breaking performances. Featuring music, puppetry, spoken word, a Market of Experiences, pantomime troupe from Bali, Flea Up! and fabulous F&B.
To Walk The Equator is to cross between time zones and states of knowing, to traverse this line that exists on maps more as a concept than an actual boundary.

Oktoberfest 2014
What: Oktoberfest 2014

When: Friday, 26th September; 6pm onwards

Where: RedDot BrewHouse, 25A Dempsey Road

Why: Taste the finest German gourmet food with favorites such as crispy pork knuckle, fresh pretzels and Black Forest cake. Wash down the German feast with RedDot brewed beers.
The ticketed party will be held on Friday 26th September and Saturday 27th September at RedDot BrewHouse Dempsey starting from 6pm till late every evening. The buffet will be served from 6pm till 10pm. Entrance tickets are sold online at $65 nett per person. Beverages are sold separately; beer will be sold at happy hour prices all night long for ticket holders. $50 coupon booklets can be purchased at the event in denominations of $10, $5, $2 and $1.

Why: This month we partnered up with Reyka Vodka to bring you the official After Party of the Gillman Barracks 2nd Anniversary Outdoor Festival.
The festival will feature live music from great local artist such as [.gif], Pop up restaurants and bars by Elite Bar Solutions., Pop up market by The Local People and out door art from 6pm to 10 pm then they close everything down and dump everyone into one of the coolest spaces (literally like full on central Air Cons Lol) we have had the chance to do an After Dark in.

What: Presence by Val When: 9th October to 2nd November 2014
Where: REDSEA Gallery, Block 9 Dempsey Hill
Why: Celebrated French artist, Val, brings over 30 of her best bronze sculptures and exhibits them at REDSEA Gallery, this October. Her monumental sculptures pay homage to the powerful notion of existence or presence. Each of Val’s sculptures is a powerful affirmation of the presence of life, continuing her narrative on the inspiration behind her art. Injecting a lightness of being into bronze, Val creates a liberating balance between the material she works with and the emotions she feels.

So many events to pick from but here are the ones you simply have to be at!

It might not be October just yet but Oktoberfest is being celebrated with as much pomp as it is back in Germany. Apart from the beer-frenzy that will be going on for the rest of the week, in true Singapore party fashion, there are a whole lot of exciting things lined up for you to pick from. Get your friends together and warm up the dance floors, listen to maestros spin at Red Bull Music Academy's takeover of Club Kyo, attend a multi-disciplinary arts festival or educate yourself at an art exhibition - options aplenty this week!
