Affordable Art Fair

Where: 1 Republic Boulevard, F1 Pit Building
Why: The Affordable Art Fair returns to the F1 Pit Building with 600 artists represented by 85 galleries from Europe and South East Asia. The works will be priced as usual, from $100 - $10,000.

Freedom Film Festival 2015
When: Saturday, 14 November till Sunday, 15 November
Where: 6001 Beach Road, Golden Mile Tower 5/F
Why: Held at The Projector, the annual event is back with a collection of investigative films and documentaries. Up on the roster is Portraits of Mosquito Press, where a group of editors set up their own paper in retaliation to a dictator.

Ghost the Musical
When: Till Sunday, 15 November; 7:30pm
Where: 10 Bayfront Avenue, Marina Bay Sands
Why: Adapted from the same award-winning film of the same name. The musical is about a murdered man who returns to earth as a spirit to protect his lover from harm.

Collider
When: Saturday, 14 November till Sunday, 14 February
Where: 10 Bayfront Avenue, ArtScience Museum
Why: The latest exhibition at the ArtScience Museum is a virtual reality exhibition of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. Patrons can get a glimpse of what happens behind closed doors at the facility at this multi-sensory showcase that is guaranteed to be an eye-opener.

19th German Film Festival
When: Till Sunday, 15 November
Where: Various Locations
Why: The Goethe-Insitut will be hosting the 19^th German Film Festival once again. With 22 films the line up you’ll be able to find something for you. Selected films will be screened at The Projector, The Cathay and The National Museum of Singapore. So check out Sistic for further details.

EP!C presents Showtek
When: Friday 13 November
Where: 17 Jiak Kim Street, Zouk
Why: Enjoy a night with electronic dance duo with Dutch brothers Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen. More importantly, enjoy the nights left at 17 Jiak Kim Street before Zouk moves to their new digs in Clarke Quay.

The Spirits Play

Where: 90 Goodman Road, Goodman Arts Centre Black Box
Why: This play is a collaboration between a two theatre groups for Hong Kong and Japan. It reflects the Second World War as it is told through the tales of Japanese spirits that lived through the war.

Magneta!

Why: From traditional Spanish Flamenco dances to contemporary theatrical presentations. Magneta! is a choreographic platform showcasing the choreographic works by emerging dance markers guided by artistic director Antonio Vargas.

Make some room in your calendar, there’s simply too much going on this weekend!

Big things are happening this week on the little red dot. The biggest is the arrival of a multi-sensory exhibition about the biggest machine in the world – the Large Hadron Collider. This exciting CERN showcase will astound you will just a glimpse of the ongoings behind the famous underground science facility.

If science isn’t your thing, then how about films? Two film festivals will be running this week, the Freedom Film Festival and the 19^th German Film Festival. The German Film Festival itself has 22 films in its line up, so you’re sure to find a movie just for you.
