Taming Failure: “This failure has changed my life.”

Anne-Laure Constanza, 40, founder of enviedefraises.fr, explains how the failure of her first business helped her start better.

“My first company, CHINATTITUDE, lasted only a few months. I did not have the right network, I was alone, the execution was poor, and in short, everything was catastrophic. This failure was of great violence. I had worked so hard! I was ashamed and, above all, I wanted so much to disappoint my surroundings.

After weeks of depression, I realised that it was actually the best thing that happened to me. I dared to admit to myself that my true calling was elsewhere and I created a fashion brand. I answered the anxiety caused by the action by creating Fancy Strawberries, a clothing site for pregnant women.

Today I can say that this failure has changed my life. My motto? ‘Taking more risks is better than not taking any at all.’ So go, be daring, and don’t be afraid!”
