Based out of Jakarta, Indonesia, Patrick Owen as a label aspires to inculcate a sense of elegance and romanticism in the clothes that women wear. By incorporating bold prints, intricate embellishments and a keen eye for design, the label exudes an eclectic aesthetic throughout.

From their debut in 2012 to their current Fall Winter 2013 collection, the designs have been a visual treat for the eye as much as the stories behind them have been intriguing. The most recent collection for instance relies on the very nature of emotions that linger in a cathedral. Rather than identifying the cathedral as solely a place of worship, the designer sees it as an abode for romance, peace and remorse.

Taking these emotions and melding it with the interiors of a cathedral resulted in a captivating collection laced with a myriad of digitally stained glass motifs that were done in collaboration with digital artist, Tatiana Romanova Surya. Coupled with high quality tailoring and luxe fabrics, Patrick Owen offers a palatial collection worthy of attention.

Patrick Owen reinvented traditional silhouettes such as the maxi dress, shift dress and the blazer and pant combinations by way of interesting slits, proportions and architectural angles. The monochrome scheme, dramatic flavour and innovative approach creates a mystifying flair, which draws the wearer in, engaging them in a circle of thought.

We can’t wait to see what he’ll come up with for his next collection…

Patrick Owen‘s collection is available online and at the following stockists around Asia.
