For the second time, the hip and edgy restaurant, Moosehead is back for a collaborative project with street artists, Sheryo & The Yok.

Why we love it:

Perhaps because Singapore has a ban on vandalism and with that no graffiti art ever finds its way onto our landscape – other than specially commisioned areas – that we are so particularly drawn to the quirky and irreverent designs of street artists. So seeing this next one intuitively got our hearts into a flurry.

By collaborating with one of Singapore’s top street artists Sheryo, and Australian-born street artist The Yok, the edgy restaurant, Moosehead Kitchen-Bar launched a limited edition T-shirt and tote bag with the artist’s interpretation of the restaurant’s logo. For the art work, Sheryo & The Yok were inspired by Moosehead Kitchen Bar’s raw vibe, and their personal love for tropical weather and beaches to result in a M=moose chilling out by the beach enjoying delectable bites and tipples in old school slippers.

We especially adore the creative, localised spin on the original Moosehead logo which is a moose in a suit slumped on an armchair with a drink in hand. By taking that and transporting the moose to being right smack within the tropics reflected the artists’ capability of flawlessly melding their local Singaporean flavour to their art.

This collaboration is not Moosehead’s virgin attempt at celebrating local artists though. Instead, it comes as the second isntallment of The Moosehead Project’s artist collaboration, the first being ‘Sticker Lady’, Samantha Lo’s Peranakan motif wallpaper.

Where to buy it:

The limited edition T-shirt (SGD30) and tote bag (SGD15) are available online. Moosehead Kitchen-Bar is located on 110 Telok Ayer Street.
