6 Wackiest inspirations behind strange fashion week looks
What if we tell you this is the truth behind what really inspires designers?
You know what? Our favourite game during fashion week is to find the strangest and most improbable catwalk trends. After careful researches on jewellery trends for Fall/ Winter 2016 fashion shows, we believe that we have discovered the secret inspirations behind our favorite designers.
1. THE NURSE PIN
Where we saw it: At Vionnet
The idea: For a day without inspiration, a safety pin can indeed work wonders.
2. NELLIE OLESON
Where we saw it: At Hussein Chalayan
The idea: We have finally avenged Nellie Oleson, (because of what we did by relating it to nightmares with every replay of “The Little House on the Prairie ” on M6) by making earrings with her English look. Thank you Hussein Chalayan, for this brilliant idea.
3.THE POMPOM CURTAIN
Where we saw it: At Dsquared2
The idea: Recycling the old granny curtains because practically, no one can see them.
4. CLAMP THE NOSE
Where we saw it: At Aigner
The idea: The creators love to capture the most unlikely of objects. Nothing’s more exciting than trying to create the least sexy and glamourous object in the world: the nose clip!
Problem: Essentially, you have to be squinting all the time.
5. THE 70s DENTAL MACHINE
Where we saw it: At Vionnet again.
The idea: You might not understand the purpose of a piece of hair jewellery being connected to the ears, but what we can say is that, everything that makes us sad would be thinking about the most torturous object used in the 70s: the full dentures.
Problem: You won’t feel like wearing it.
6. THE THEFT
Where we saw it: At Salvatore Ferragamo
The idea: A mixed inspiration between the safety pin from Vionnet and a nose clip at Aigner – Result: an XXL silver burglar.
