Sleek Smartwatch: Michael Kors to launch new Android Wear timepieces

A watch above the rest – Michael Kors teams up with Google to take technology head-on.

Technology meets fashion this fall as Michael Kors prepares to launch a brand new wearable technology accessories line to promote the ease of connectivity without compromising on style. The brand will kick things off with their Michael Kors Access display smartwatch, which runs seamlessly with both iPhone and Android phones, thanks to their partnership with Google, allowing them to utilise the Android Wear™ smartwatch platform.

As is expected from Michael Kors, the luxury fashion brand aims to deliver a glamorous smart timepiece that is both contemporary and innovative. By adding convenience, customisation and functionality to the mix, the Access line will no doubt give consumers a stylish way to stay connected while at the same time allowing them to express their own personal style. Along with a handy built-in fitness tracker, the touchscreen display smartwatches will also give wearers the ability to receive social media updates, text and email alerts, and app notifications.

“I’m in the business of making people’s lives easier through fashion,” says Michael Kors. “I thought, ‘Why can’t tech accessories be chic and glamorous?’ You wear them every day. After all, technology is impacting life more and more. It should reflect your personal taste as much as anything else, but it should also give you access to all the experiences that you want.”

The Michael Kors Access smartwatch will retail starting at approximately SGD530 and will be available in Michael Kors stores, MichaelKors.com and select department and specialty stores in Fall 2016.
