As we’re all gearing up to welcome the calendar year of 2014, Longchamp has leapt ahead of us and is preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year, which arrives in a couple of months’ time.

Having had the horse as its emblem since it was founded in 1948, it is no wonder that the French luxury house is especially marking the Chinese year of the Horse by launching a limited edition bag featuring the spirited animal.

This bag, which borrows its basic design elements from the label’s iconic Le Pliage bag features an overblown platinum-coloured Longchamp Horse on one side, and comes in black or red canvas – in spirit of the joyous occasion. It can be described as casual chic at its best.

In addition, the bag has a hidden inscription saying “Longchamp celebrates the year of the Horse” which can be found inside the bag on a leather label which also features the Chinese sign of the Horse.

Set to become a collector’s item, the limited edition bag is now available in store. We say get it before it’s too late!

Longchamp ‘Year of the Horse’ Spring 2014 bag ( approx. USD440) is available at selected Longchamp outlets around Asia.
