You may have thought that you have had your share of incredibly expensive products what with the million-dollar-iPhone or the Alexander Wang heat-sensitive color-changing clothing. There is, however, one more. Let us introduce you to the new Marc Jacobs creation.

In his fall 2014 collection, the famous ex-creative director of Louis Vuitton offers a dress, christened the “Puffy Clouds Embroidery Dress” for a staggering $28,000.

We guess it’s not so far-fetched considering Marc Jacobs’s design studio paid $11,000 per meter for the fabric and mobilized three people to craft the gown full of organza flower motifs filled by hand with three meters of yarn. Those three people took an entire week in a Swiss embroidery mill to make one piece.

Needless to say, this special gown is available only by special order. But for now, the dress will be rented out to celebrities for appearances and fashion magazine shoots, and by the end of the season, it will be retired to the Marc Jacobs archives.

Too expensive for you? Don’t worry, the designer has not forgotten about the “smaller” budget! We found a crinkle organza V-neck dress from his 2014 collection for $4,800 on the website Moda Operandi.
