Mario Testino for MATE: Fashion photographer turns designer - for a cause

One of the hottest and most unexpected collaborations is now up for grabs!
Who would have thought that one of fashion’s most celebrated photographers would turn into a designer himself? The Peruvian celebrity snapper has recently collaborated with luxury e-tailer net-a-porter to produce a range of accessories and t-shirts and it is all for a good cause; 20% of the proceeds will go to MATE, Testino’s NGO in Peru which was set up last year.
This limited edition collection includes t-shirts, bags and clutches printed with details of Testino’s iconic photographs as well as a range of elaborate accessories done with partnership with jewellery designer Vicki Beamon.
The results are simply gorgeous and rich, just like Testino’s photographs. We are especially in love with those pompom and Swarovski statement necklaces inspired by traditional Peruvian wear and done to perfection. They are fun yet sophisticated and probably some of the boldest pieces we have seen!
But if those prove to be too 'out there' for your liking, you can still snap up those printed t-shirts and clutches - but you’ll have to hurry up as we expect them to be sold out very soon.
