Naomi Campbell to open Singapore's Digital Fashion Week

Love her or hate her, there's no denying that Naomi Campbell is as A-list as it gets.
Which is why we are super excited to hear that The British supermodel is coming to Singapore to make her South East Asia runway debut.
In what is probably the biggest coup in Singapore fashion show history, Naomi will be opening the second Digital Fashion Week (DFW), which is taking place from November 1 to 4.
She may have walked for the biggest names in fashion (Chanel, Dior and Versace to name but a few) but while she is in the little red dot she will be walking for a Singaporean label.
"With Naomi Campbell joining us for Digital Fashion Week Singapore 2013 we are elevating the status of Singapore's fashion industry on a global scale. Never before have the runways of Singapore's fashion festival/week been opened by a bona fide supermodel, much less someone as reputable as Naomi Campbell herself." - says Charina Widjaja, Project Director of DFW Singapore.
Considering the event is only in its second year, this is absolutely huge news for DFW and fantastic news for the fashion scene both in Singapore and Asia.
Digital Fashion Week Singapore 2013 will be showcasing 32 local labels, split between runway shows and a designer showcase.
All shows at the event will be live-streamed via their website www.digitalfashionweek.com.
There will also be backstage interviews throughout the week, the chance to grill your favourite designers on Google+ Hangouts and the opportunity to purchase the clothes straight off the runway on Asos Marketplace - while the shows are going on.
We simply can't wait!
