Singapore’s most successful experimental label is back with another diffusion line, Antidepressant.

In a small market like Singapore, it sometimes becomes difficult for young fashion designers to make it big but Singapore-based label, Depression made the difficult seem easy and no, they are not in any way depressed.

Design duo, Kenny Lim and Andrew Loh are in fact two cheerful personalities who have built up quite a furor in the industry with their largely black and white experimental designs. Since its inception, the unisex label has become a common name on the lips of photographers, stylists, socialites and celebrities, including Adam Lambert and Taboo from Black Eyed Peas.

They’re revered for their knack of coming up with unconventional silhouettes that diverge away from the norm of fashion design, which has spring-boarded them to the forefront of the industry as highly creative and visual minds.

Realizing that the younger demographic may be looking for edgier but wearable designs, the duo has released a diffusion line aptly named, Antidepressant. What started off as a graphic tee collection ballooned into a full scale Spring Summer 2014 line. Featuring basics like graphic tees and pieces made of mesh and lycra, the line has a clear street wear influence with a tinge of sport wear that will indubitably impress the younger ones.

Whether Kenny and Andrew are designing for Depression or for Antidepressant, their strength remains apparent and that is in offering the consumer a unique view of fashion. They are constantly straying away from the mass and looking to innovate shapes and materials. Hence it is safe to say that this design duo is in it for the long haul (depressed or not) and boy are we impressed!

Depression is available online and at the following stores
