Old styles are given a contemporary update thanks to Alexa Chung’s creative collaboration efforts with M&S.

Bringing together British style icon Alexa Chung and major British multinational retailer Marks & Spencer, the Archive by Alexa project is a unique collaboration that aims to embark on a journey of rediscovery. By delving into Marks and Spencer’s previous collections to reproduce a covetable line of classics, updated with modern twists to fabrications and colour palette, this special collection melds the past and the future.

The collection has been carefully curated by Chung herself, who has brought archive pieces back to life using her unique approach to style. “I rummaged through clothing, magazines and amazing old films and cherry-picked relevant items, bringing them back to life for 2016,” said Chung. “In the collection, I there’s something that you can build into your existing wardrobe, whatever your style; from classics like the trench coat in rich olive and the oversized blue shirt, to quirky additions like the paisley print dress and wide legged ’70s tailored trousers”.

The Archive by Alexa project will be launching this month, with Chung taking creative ownership of the direction and mood of the campaign.

The limited collection will debut in Singapore on 14 April and will be available exclusively at Marks & Spencer Wheelock Place. Prices start from SGD69.90.
