The annual tradeshow and emporium always provides us with an avenue to discover designers – both locally and around the region. Here are those that caught our eye!

One of the best places to discover new designers – both local and international – would be within the vast turf of tradeshows. Typically, tradeshows are reserved for brands to showcase their latest wares to prospective buyers in the hopes of moving their inventory and being housed with more retailers. However, with Singapore’s Blueprint, it’s both an industry and consumer event. The first two days are allocated for buyers and the next two days the space opens up into an emporium for brands to let go of past season items, conduct sample sales or take pre-orders for upcoming collections.

While previous years of Blueprint were of mammoth size with countless numbers of labels huddled together in booths, this year, it was a lot more curated and smaller in scale. Featuring only 68 brands, it was evident that the designers were meticulously selected to ensure that the buyers get to see the absolutely most talented brands, rather than miss out on some while hunting around rows and rows of booths.

So naturally, our interest was piqued and we made a trip down to the tradeshow where we managed to sieve through and unearth a whole new set of designers that you should definitely know about and of course, be shopping from.

Just don’t forget to keep those wallets by your side!
