Inspired by the free-spirited 70s, the British luxury brand revealed a collection that’s filled with eye-catching details for the bohemian in you.

There couldn’t be a more befitting title to Burberry Prorsum’s Autumn/ Winter 2015 collection then the one already given to it, ‘Patchwork, Pattern & Prints’ because right from the get-go, the amalgamation of these three aspects were evident. From paisley and floral bohemian patterns inspired by Durham quilts, to patchwork and whipstitched pieces on ponchos and leopard and camouflage prints, the runway very quickly evolved into quite the kaleidoscopic road.

Clearly, the 70s aesthetic continued its march at Burberry as well with long, floaty maxi dresses, an abundance of fringe, alongside suede boots and coats in burgundy, teal and ochre shades that complemented the menswear collection showed earlier this year. All in all, we adored the delicate balance of modern silhouettes and folkloric influences to result in a collection that’s wearable and yet brilliantly harkens back to the free-spirited decade.

Where in the menswear collection was the Burberry Carryall, here the choice of accessory was The Bucket Bag that came in fringed suede, camouflage and animal prints in a series of deep colours such as red, indigo and dark brown. And if you’re pining to get a hold of the bag, they are available to purchase and personalise as part of the Burberry Runway Made to Order service on Burberry.com till 9 March.

Seeing how the fashion industry won’t be tiring itself from the groovy, unfettered times any time soon, it’s about time to pull out those fringed jackets or vests and put on a delicate paisley printed chiffon dress. Far out no?

Beyond the runway, Burberry continued its innovative ventures by collaborating with LINE, a popular messaging platform, to unveil a short animated film featuring Anna Wintour, Cara Delevingne and more alongside Brown and Cony – LINE’s most popular characters. The film basically sees Brown and Cony flying down to London as they take their front row seats at the Burberry Prorsum show. Lucky guests!
