Pharrell Williams for Uniqlo: SS14 UT collection

THE star of the moment teams up with Uniqlo for a collection of UT t-shirts, hitting the stores in April…
2014 is definitely the year of Pharrell Williams , and the world has eyes – and ears – only for him!
Pharrell and his hit “Happy” which was accompanied by a 24-hour clip (also the soundtrack of the animated film Despicable Me 2); Pharrell and his unusual Vivienne Westwood hat on all front-rows at fashion week; Pharrell and collaborations of all kinds… We must say that in terms of buzz, Pharrell knows how to do it – and succeeds for that!
The Japanese brand Uniqlo felt this success, and has in turn appealed to the international star to work with them for their spring-summer 2014 season.
For this collaboration, the American artist has been chosen as a spokesperson for the brand’s UT collection, appearing in the campaigns as well as designing an exclusive line called “I am Other”.
The long-awaited pieces will be available from early May (or mid-April depending on the country) in 14 countries worldwide.
The collection will include T-shirts and caps for both men and women.
And that’s not all! Keep an eye for the campaign commercial which will feature a song from his new album “GIRLS”. The commercial, and video of an exclusive interview, will be available on the UNIQLO website from April.
