You don’t want to miss Philipp Plein’s eclectic and provocative Spring Summer 2014 collection – now available in Asia!

Hailing from Munich, Germany, Philipp Plein can essentially be encapsulated in two words – provocative elegance. The designer of the same name has consistently embraced a dangerous vibe with his designs that are so unabashedly seductive where you would not blink before wearing it.

A strong futuristic direction took over the Spring Summer runway with holographic visions gracing the entire length of the show. From graphic lines to dancing LED lights, it was entirely divine. According to Philipp Plein, the Spring Summer season is only done right if it is devoid of colour and florals but laden with beguiling elements in its most elegant sense.

Casual did not leave the equation though. The collection sees a subtle embrace of sportswear with knee-high socks and athletic stripes running across shorts and bomber jackets, which we absolutely adore!

Our Picks: The signature skull motif continues throughout the collection and we cannot deny that we love it front and centre on the long black dress with a thigh-high slit. The all white looks and metallic hues are another big tick in our books and we can’t wait to start the year bang on with a pink metallic bomber jacket.

Philipp Plein is also no stranger to celebrities. From Ed Westwick, who became the face of the brand to singer Iggy Azealea, who opened the SS14 show to an excited audience. Known for setting standards, the SS14 show similarly featured an ‘all Black’ runway of models with Ethiopian supermodel, Liya Kebede closing the show.

Kudos to Philipp Plein for moving in the right direction to eradicate issues of racism in the fashion industry! Do we need more reasons to fawn over Philipp Plein? We don’t think so.

Philipp Plein SS14 collection is available online as well as at the following stockists in Asia.
