A new shopping landmark has landed in Singapore! Here’s what we saw – and liked – at the new Robinsons flagship shop on Orchard road.

Whether you’re a resident or a tourist, you’d probably know that Singapore’s Orchard road is one of the most visited shopping destinations in the region.

And just when we thought it could not get any better, a new landmark popped up to further establish this famous street’s reputation as a shopper’s heaven.

We are talking about the newly launched Robinsons Orchard which opened its doors last week, as the free-standing flagship store of this popular department store.

With its new cool brands, stunning interior and convenient added services – this is definitely now our to-go-to place for some much-needed shopping spree. Be warned though, your credit cards might be in trouble. But isn’t this what they’re made for?

Here are our top 5 reasons to shop at Robinsons Orchard:

1-  Beauty with an edge

Level 1_Beauty & Concierge

Department stores have always been a beauty junkie’s heaven but while most of them stock more or less the same variety, Robinsons Orchard has added some much needed ‘niche’ brands to their list including the cult UK makeup brand Illamasqua, famous for their dramatic and unusual hues – and London-based perfumery Atkinsons with its rich Royal history and irresistible regal fragrances.

Want more? What about a Fragrance Bar, Hair Lab and some treatment cabins so you could have a facial on the go? Just what we needed after a busy day of shopping!

2- Shoes, shoes and more shoes…

Level 2_Ladies' Shoes & Accessories

Just like all fashionistas, we are all bout gorgeous shoes! If you’re anything like us and have been struggling to find some unique and seriously head-turning foot candy, Robinsons has finally answered our prayers with their new shoe section, located on the second floor.

From timeless and sexy Manolos and Sergio Rossi to the edgy and flamboyant creations from Heavymachine and Pollini by Nicholas Kirkwood – there is definitely something for every shoe-obsessed lady in the little red dot.

3- Vintage Chanel goodness…

Yes you’ve read it right! The newly opened Robinsons Orchard has added a much-needed designer vintage section selling mint-condition rare pieces of accessories and handbags, mainly from Chanel. While scoring a gorgeous pair of 80s gold-plated earrings will cost you S$1000+, bags start at the S$5000+ mark. Get it before it’s gone!

4- Cool contemporary labels for him & her

Level 4_Men's Wear

Some of our favourite brands – which we previously had to cross continents to get our hands on – are now available exclusively at Robinsons Orchard. These include the hip and trendy The Kooples, Zadig & Voltaire, Alice by Temperley, Paul & Joe Sister amongst others. In addition to that, a Denim Loft and Shirt Bar for men are surely to get the gents’ approval.

5- Inviting ambiance and interior

When we hit the shops, the ambiance is sometimes as important as the goods we want to buy. Believing that shopping has to be an overall experience, the interior design of Robinsons Orchard has employed some spectacular elements to make the experience as pleasant as it should be. From the I.Rain cascading light feature dropping from the 5th down to the 1st floor to incorporating natural light as much as possible and navigation-friendly layout… we could spend hours in there!

6- Added services

Call us spoilt, but the new concierge service, Valet parking, ATM and even personal shopping/style advising booth are some of the things we’re mostly excited about. When time is tight, convenience becomes an important factor in the overall shopping experience. Surely, you agree?
