Get the Look: Isabel Marant’s Fall 2015 boxy silhouette

We recreated a cool look by the French designer using nothing but pocket-friendly and equally fashionable items, one of them borrowed from the men’s section!
Isabel Marant‘s Fall 2015 ready-to-wear lineup is inspiringly eclectic, showcasing a coalescence of subdued monochromatic hues with bright colours, boxy silhouettes with cinched waistlines, and embroidered prints with plain designs.
The runway look we selected sees a sheer, ikat print shirt whose tribal design resonates to the boxy, blanket-like vest it’s paired with. A simple belt complements the outfit by simply cinching (and flattering) the model’s waist. A faultless duet of plain white jeans and classic black ankle boots complete the look.
Since we love boyfriend-fit everything anyway, we chose TOPMAN’s navy floral shirt for its naturally loose fit over the usual lady shirts for this look. We layered the button-up underneath ZARA‘s wide-sleeved white tunic that already comes with a belt. Another option is to go with MANGO‘s black leather one, which makes a tighter, more prominent waist cinch. Plus, it matches the black pointed booties that cement a flair of “trendy chic” into your look.
