Sarah’s Bag safety pins clutch

Why we love it:

Spotting this bag from afar,  we felt like what we imagine a magpie would feel when spotting a glittery item from up above in the sky. But upon closer inspection, we were even further impressed.

What greeted us weren’t finely sewn golden and silver metal threads but a multitude of golden and silver coloured safety pins that had been carefully aligned and secured so to form a chequered pattern.

The 1001 Pins Bag reminds us of finely crafted golden chain mails while preserving an extremely feather-like appearance. It looks powerful yet delicate. It is an accessory that steals the spotlight and that will need to be paired with a non-distracting outfit.

But apart from the wholly creative and gorgeous concept of the bag, we love the fact it is part of a socially responsible Lebanese accessories label, Sarah’s Bag, which exclusively hires under-privileged women in the country to craft these bags and earn a living.
