These super stylish and comfy Melissa oxfords have made even our high heel aficionada ditch her stilettos for a pair. Here’s why we love it.

Why we love it:

When my colleagues saw me toting these babies around the office last week, they thought something was wrong. What? No heels? Something has to be wrong!

As someone who is known for having a penchant for sky-high heels – and is hardly ever seen wearing flats – even I couldn’t comprehend why I ditched my stilettos in favour of this particular pair of Melissa Backless + Alexandre Herchcovitch oxfords from their recently-launched Fall/ Winter 2015 collection.

But seriously, look at them! Super trendy, comfy and oh-so-cool, they have so far transformed any outfit I’ve worn into a stylish statement and I’ve lost count on the amount of compliments I got for them. Teaming them with a figure-hugging sporty chic dress or denim hotpants and a t-shirt combo, they have proven to be the most versatile pair I’ve ever owned.

Remodelled after the famed open oxford shoes by Alexandre Herchcovitch, and along with the designer himself, Brazilian eco-friendly brand Melissa has taken this androgynous pair and put a delicate spin on it that appeals to the fussiest high heels fan out there including myself.

The fact they are slim and quite edgy yet feminine means they are flattering and could go well with anything from a floral dress to a pant-suit.

Available in white (my favourite), black, navy blue and burgundy – we reckon you too should get your hands on one before they fly off the shelves!
