Shoe shopping: The Slip-ons are back!

It’s time to kick your towering heels to the side and slip on some comfortable sneaks. From Superga to a luxurious pair by Givenchy, we have the round up!
In fashion, when ladies refer to shoes, they typically refer to anything that comes with a heel – preferably 3 inches or higher. Heels may have been the definitive footwear of choice for any remotely stylish person but designers are now clearing the ground to finally throw in some comfort into the mix. Praise the designers!
While we should perhaps thank Karl Lagerfeld for introducing sneakers onto the runway at the Couture Spring 2014 show, we’re glad street style fashion responded to the trend pretty enthusiastically rather than lambasting it out the window. Our feet definitely needed the respite from towering heights.
Slip-on shoes are essentially the comfier version of any ol’ pair of flat shoes and since it has officially become suitable attire, we say now’s the time to wear it everywhere. Despite its typical air of nonchalance and casual tendencies, it’s important to remember that the devil is in the details when shopping for slip-ons. And once you’ve settled on a pair to join your shoe arsenal, have fun with them and dress it up or down because quite certainly, slip on shoes are going to give your outfit the extra edge it was yearning for.
There’s so much to choose from – leather instead of canvas, floral prints, studs, animal print or embroidery – the list is endless!
