Being the mere humans that we are, sometimes we focus so much on the big things at the expense of the little details… but Karl Lagerfeld is not just another number and he proves that yet again with Chanel’s stellar Spring/ Summer 2015 ready-to-wear collection that shows his painstaking attention to details.

The collection owes its finesse to all the details in the fabric. It features a range of textures from tweeds, crepe, cotton twill to light and airy fabrics like silk, organza and lace. With a play of lengths and layering, the fabrics blend harmoniously into edgy, contemporary pieces that still embody Chanel’s distinct classe.

On top of the brilliant blend of textures, this year the King of Fashion wants the ready-to-wear array to be full of “happiness and hope”. That explains the vibrant colours that breathe life to Chanel’s quintessential monochrome hues and the vivacious embellishments. So expect delicate details and ornate accessories when you hunt for your coveted Chanel RTW pieces in their boutiques.

Right now we can’t decide which one is more impressive — the meticulous floral embroidery or the needlework inspired by the cobbled streets of Paris.

We’ll let you decide with this video below.
